Midnight Commander 4.7.0 OSX

GNU Midnight Commander (also referred to as MC) is a user shell with text-mode full-screen interface. It can be run on the OS console, in xterm and other terminal emulators.

GNU Midnight Commander allows you to manage files while making most of you screen and giving you a clear representation of the filesystem, yet it’s simple enough to be run over a telnet or ssh session.

Universal binary built (without source code modification) and linked with following libraries:

Configured with options: –disable-dependency-tracking –disable-shared –with-screen=ncurses –with-vfs –enable-vfs-mcfs –with-edit –without-x –with-subshell –enable-charset –enable-extcharset –enable-background –enable-netcode

This release requires Mac OSX X 10.4 or newer, and tested on 10.5 Leopard PPC and 10.6 Snow Leopard INTEL.

I need mc, but I don’t like some things in MacPorts – it installing too many unnecessary packages.

Как запустить 4.7 после инсталляции? В Applications его нет, в терминале через “mc” тоже.

Hi, I am new to mac and mc is one of my first applications installed on Snow Leopard 10.6.3
Do F8-F10 keys work for you? For me they are still caught by OS rather by mc.
Any solution?

Try ESC+8 (press “esc” key and “8″ after released) for F8 and ESC+0 for F10 key…

Szia !

Ezt a verziódat használom, és elégedett vagyok vele, kivéve egy dolgot:
Hiába akarom elmenteni a configot, elfelejti. Annak ellenére, hogy amikor rányomok hogy save setup, kiirja rendesen hogy elmentette. Az ini jogai rendben vannak, már kipóbáltam úgy is, hogy az inibe irom be közvetlen amit szeretnék, és úgy inditom az mc-t, de akkor se emészti meg. Kb mintha nem létezne az ini, vagyis inkább mintha nem olvasná be induláskor. Nem értem.. Ötlet?
